PSJA ISD Hosts 9th Annual Early Childhood Conference

SAN JUAN, TX – Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD (PSJA ISD) welcomed hundreds of early childhood educators and childcare professionals to its 9th Annual Early Childhood Conference held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at PSJA Early College High School.

Hosted by the PSJA Early Childhood Department, the conference brought together early childhood educators and childcare staff from across the region for a day of professional learning focused on strengthening early childhood instruction. Sessions were aligned with the Texas Prekindergarten Guidelines, providing attendees with research-based strategies to support developmentally appropriate learning in young students

Participants had the opportunity to engage in a variety of breakout sessions, gaining practical, classroom-ready tools and insights they can immediately implement to enhance student learning across multiple developmental domains.

PSJA ISD also highlighted its strong partnership with more than 40 childcare centers across the cities of Pharr, San Juan, and Alamo. Through this collaboration, certified PSJA ISD teachers provide instruction at partner childcare sites, ensuring the district’s youngest learners receive high-quality, consistent instruction and are prepared for success when they begin school at PSJA ISD.

The conference serves as an important opportunity to bring these partners together, ensuring alignment in teaching practices and learning expectations across all early childhood settings.
